It is with great pleasure that I am able to write this letter in connection with Mary. My husband and I came to know her very well during the course of purchasing our home. We came to rely upon her complete availability, her infinite patience, her devotion to her clients, her integrity, her honesty, her irreproachable tact and grace in negotiating, and her extremely calming nature. Mary’s thoroughness is also beyond compare. More than once, she did detailed market comparisons for us, based precisely on the areas in which we were looking, on the asking price of the house we were considering, and on the asking and sale prices of comparable properties — including telling us how those other properties differed from the one we were considering. Mary kept us aware of every conversation she had on our behalf as she helped us find our home; she gave me detailed reports of places she had inspected prior to giving her recommendation as to whether or not it was worthwhile for my husband and I to also take a look. She is a fount of information, is never rushed, and provided us with referrals to lawyers, tradespeople, our mortgage broker and a handyman. She remained involved with us even after the sale, constantly available for any questions or concerns we had — always with her trademark grace and patience.

Once we had purchased our home, Mary assisted in the sale of my husband’s first house, and of the condominium in which I had been living. She made the time to sit in the house while minor repairs were made prior to putting it on the market. She finessed a difficult negotiation on our behalf well into the night, and never once pressured us into accepting less than she thought the property was worth. Respecting my security concerns, she personally accompanied prospective purchasers and their agents wishing to view my condominium, rather than obliging me to leave a key with the concierge.

Though our professional relationship has run its course, our friendship with Mary continues. We trust her implicitly and have recommended her, without hesitation, to our friends.
